Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience - Answer phone calls and schedule appointments - Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary payments - Maintain patient records and update information as needed - Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow - Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents - Provide medical administrative support to healthcare providers Skills:
- The single most important skill required for this position is being a positive and welcoming presence in the office to our patients - The second most important skill required for this position is being proactive in solving problems, helping patients, and making the office run smoothly - Strong administrative skills, including data entry and organization - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of medical scheduling procedures and appointment management - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred- Proficiency in medical terminology is a plus - Experience with electronic medical records systems is a plus Note:
